CSD students Patricia Mathison and Holly Rodden win awards!!

Two students in the Master of Arts in College Student Development were awarded the the Gregory S. Blimling Award for Outstanding Graduate Students in Student Development. The students are Patricia Elizabeth Mathison and Holly Nicole Rodden.

Women of Influence Awards

Sherry Thompson, one of our CSD students was awarded the Woman of Influence Award in the Student category. Daisy Waryold received the Women of Influence Award at the ASU Women's Leadership Conference.

Congratulations!

General Information

As a course of instruction in the Reich College of Education's Department of Human Development and Psychological Counseling, Appalachian State University's Master of Arts in College Student Development offers emphases in Student Affairs Practice, College Outdoor Program Administration, and College Counseling. The Master of Arts in College Student Development prepares students to work in a variety of Student Affairs functional areas at colleges and universities. Recent graduates have secured employment in Career Development, First Year Student Programs, Orientation, Residence Life, Service Learning, Student Activities, Leadership Development, Learning Assistance Programs, Academic Advising and many other areas of Student Affairs.

The Master of Arts program is a 48 hour program that combines formal coursework and experiential work.
